What is AVID?
The AVID program is designed to increase schoolwide learning and performance by ensuring that all students, especially traditionally underserved students in the middle, succeed in a rigorous curriculum, enter mainstream activities of the school and increase their enrollment in four-year colleges. Ultimately, AVID provides scaffolding, a social and academic structure to support students as they work to succeed.
Mission Statement
AVID's mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
